Time to take a holiday…

Following another successful season, Wimbledon Speakers Club is putting it’s feet up for a few weeks, before we begin again on Wednesday 14th September.

We will then meet on every second and fourth Wednesday all the way up to June 2017!

One of our intentions for the coming season will be to revive the website, and get some new and fresh material on here, and of course, welcome contributions from all members.

If you are new to the website, or looking to visit the Club for the first time, please do send a message via the Contact page with any questions not answered in these pages.

So, watch this space, rest your vocal chords, and we will be in touch with updates, reminders and gentle encouragement in due course!

Start of the new term

Blogroll, Friendly faces

 Wimbledon speakers club has returned, with our first meeting of the new season on Wednesday 10th September.We are looking forward to an action packed year, with weekly speeches, tough competitions, debates and  workshops.True to form, the meeting started off in style with 2-minute speeches, inspired by the greatest guitar riffs of our time. Following this our president gave a succinct introduction to speech formation, for on the spot presentations. A skill set often required professionally, but sometimes difficult to obtain.

We then heard prepared speeches from one of our newer members, and one from one of our seasoned professionals. Each excellent, each offering something for us to learn.We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. We look forward to welcoming you in person.
